Whether your style is more preppy, Street, casual, gothic or minimalist or really any other style, you either already own a pair of dress pants or have pictures saved of your style icons in dress pants that you secretly wish you owned. In 2021, dress pants have made so many undisputed comebacks on socials, main stream media and even in those lowkey connoisseur pages like the sartorialist ( where they technically never went out of style) that I honestly don’t think it’s fair to other pants.
Not owning a pair in this day an age should honestly be some kind of crime. With New age style icons like Harry styles reimagining how dress pants are styled to classic style icons like Alain Delon rocking those perfect big suits that were honestly just so manly and defined the working man for so long. In 2021, there are two important ways dress pants are being worn which I feel I should talk about:
First, is the well tailored, perfectly tapered and ironed, camp. These are the dress pant outfits that are so sharp it’s not even funny. Paired with casual t-shirts, Band tees, sweat shirts, hoodies , those killer t-shirt and denim jacket combos. Not to mention how perfectly they work with white sneakers, laid-back New age sneakers especially low top nikeys, adidas, New balance sneaks(bonus points if the pant colour is in the kicks also) and boots ( Chelsea boots to be precise) These dress pants are perfect for the classic style guy who prefers abit more of a tapered look to their outfits.
Second, are the more heavily constituted, equally well tailored but alot less tapered suit pants. These are alot more Street style and casual and for some reason always end up folded at the bottom or worn with a pair of over the top gucci looking loafers. These are just as equally dashing and versatile. If your into Street style or really just into baggy clothes, these are perfect for you.
No matter how you want to cut this cake, the fact is dress pants are here, they are awesome and you either incorporate them into your wardrobe or miss out on literally the best thing in fashion since the invention of well…. Fashion.

They are comfy, preppy, Bad ass, sexy and remarkably stylish. Don’t be a Party pooper, get with the program.
