Staying Stylish in 2021. Minimalist Edition.

Minimalist style, a term commonly used in modern fashion and style conversations and that I have expressed my love for before on this blog. As we roll ever so quickly into this new year, with trend culture still holding strong and new styles like street style and baggy fashion dominating popular social media platforms, a question arises as to the future of minimalist style.

With the pop of colour and the disregard for conventional fitting rules in contemporary fashion how does a classic style guy with a liking for minimalist aesthetics survive?

In my opinion, he sticks to the same rules, focuses on the same colour palettes and keeps rocking those whites, blacks and greys. But is that enough? Does sticking to the basics make a man stylish, or does it leave one looking overtook by time? I say, classic style never goes out of style.

But maybe you have your basics down, all the usual minimalist colours are in your wardrobe. The white, black, grey, sand, brown, navy, and creams are covered. How do you add a pop of colour, an air of sophistication. I suggest you try these three colours ; green( in all its shades, especially emerald and jungle green) maroon( in shirts and t-shirts, this could be a game changer) and finally other shades of blue( those sky blues and baby blues have a certain fresh and young appeal that “unages” you instantly, for the older guys)

Something else really cool you could try is having alittle more fun with the fit of your clothes, especially with sweatshirts and hoodies. These make you look young and with the times which could come in handy if you are in university or trying to woo a younger lady.

Apart from that, i say us classic style guys need to keep classic minimalist style alive, trends come and go but real style is forever. Adios and stay stylish this 2021.
