This year has been pretty tough so far, no social meetings, no school hang outs, and not enough weekend dates. However, it has been riddled with alot more reading, spending alone time and frankly alot more bingeing, that’s both tv shows and food. I have had alot of time this year to read which has been a large portion of my sanity maintenance regiment. The time alone, was pretty weird at first but with the inability to meet with my friends in person I have resorted to voice notes, phone conversations and occasional whatsapp conversations which is actually saying alot for me. I have also spent alot of time meditating and being mindful, thinking of and creating content and rewatching and watching old sitcoms, which I actually really love, just a fun fact about me.

Some I would recommend for anyone who wants to have a good laugh are friends( which is now on netflix, thank God) that 70’s show (which was actually recommended to me at the start of the year by a dear friend and that I ended up enjoying almost too much) and two and a half men. Also as an honourable mention, everybody hates chris is also pretty hilarious.

Laughing, creating and relaxation are my go to all on my lonesome activities. I also have really been grateful for online classes, even though I have actively slept through one or two of them, it’s actually just one. Unlike alot of people my age I really enjoy studying and being in class, weird I know, but I like using my mind to solve problems and really just the routine of regular classes. I also really love what I study. But sometimes I do like to escape from structured scholastic reading and instead grab a fiction book and disappear into a made up word full of adventure. Right now that world is in his dark materials volume two where lyra is now in another world where creatures called Specters devour the souls of adults and live empty cocoons. Some really good fiction books I have read and plan to read include: his dark materials:the full series( ebooks from the alcove bookstore on instagram)Check out my review of his dark materials: northern lights.Spider( a book I got as a birthday present), Robert Fulghum’s It was on fire when I lay down on it which I reviewed on my youtube channel. Click here to watch the review. Bright shiny morning is also a really enjoyable read, I also reviewed it in the above video. I am really excited for my next reads which are Charles Dickens which is said to be an amazing classic, hannibal (spooky) and a short story compilation called 100 creepy little creature stories (which was also a birthday gift).
Anyway, in the dawn of this disaster of a year I am grateful for alot of things, for my life and health, for my family and their wellbeing, for my work and my schooling which have been tough but inspiring and have given me drive. For my youtube channel and this blog which have been great outlets for my pent up creativity. For all my friends who have kept me sane by sharing in my misery and have looked out for me. 2020 has been a b***h of a year but I am kinda glad it has. Thank you for reading and make sure to subscribe to my blog for weekly blogs on style, sneakers, and books among other fun topics.
